manifold gaskets
i finally had time to figure out were my exhaust was leaking. its the manifold gasket on the drivers side that is leaking. how hard is it to replace them. is there any tricks or anything to doing them? im pretty mechanically inclined thats no problem its just getting time to do it since my only day off is sunday. the only thing im worried about is breaking a bolt off in the block. and also on the up pipes were they connect to the manifold is there a gasket there? or does the manifold just have a flange? its a 2000 f350. Unless someone has already removed your manifolds once before there is no gasket between them and the head. If you are in a pinch you can put one in, but the correct way to fix it is to have the manifolds resurfaced and use new bolts for the reinstall. The is no gaskets on the manifold to up-pipe connection either, just metal to metal. Just a heads up.

Pretty easy fix if you put the truck up on jackstands and remove the wheels and the fender liners. With the wheels off and the liners removed all the bolts for the manifolds are easily accessible.
