Rear DVD will not eject the DVD

Our 2003 Expedition will not eject the DVD. You can hear the motor trying to eject but the DVD doesn't come out of the unit. Everything else works. We are driving a long way for turkey day with 2 kids....HELP. Is there a manual eject? Any ideas would be helpful.

I haven't heard of a manual eject on these DVD players short of taking the unit apart. Shine a flash light into the slot and see if something is jamming it. Perhaps use a small screwdriver to help coerce the DVD to come out.

I did take it apart and found out that the rubber rollers that spit the DVD out were slipping on the shaft. A few drops of super glue and it works....for now.
