Edge tranny question

Hello all, I have an Edge juice w/attitude unit and have a quick question. The unit reccomends that I use the 100% defuel when shifting but that sucks when you have a 4:30 gear and all the truck wants to do is shift. Who here uses a Edge and runs this on 0%? Is there an aftermarket shift kit I can install or any kind of a trans commander unit? I do like the edge unit and really like the gauge pod but don't want to tear my tranny out. Thanks in advance for your help. GW

You won't get any answers on here I don't think cause everyone steers clear of the edge tuners bullydog so on so on. Reputation from hear say is that those things eat up the trannys. Put it on trash can mode and close the lid or save up for a new tranny.

There are some on here that have direct experience with these type of tuners causing tranny problems. Mine is with Bully Dog, there are more with the Edge module though.

My Scurg came with an Edge. After reading all the information here, I bought an SCT and used the Edge as a monitor (left it a power level "0") and the truck just runs so much better.
My Edge started acting up and it would stall the motor, I removed the bypass from the computer (Edge went blank) and everything went back to running great, just no monitor. (after that happend several times I have completely removed the Edge, thinking that there was a software conflict or something) I have now ordered a Edge Insight to monitor (I did like the bar gauges) and it should get here today. I am also interested in the data logging that it provides, not for performance, but for diagnostics. (Data logging on the SCT X3 is a little cumbersome and appears to be no longer supported)

You should try doing it on the xCal 2 if you think the X3 is cumbersome. Datalogging is very good for alot of applications though, I will agree with you there, not just performance.
