I would like to thank the users of this forum they helped me fix my Ranger.
If there is anyone out there with this problem please check they vacuum line to the IMVC seliniod before you start digging into the intake.

+1 just fixed mine this afternoon. Vac hose broke. Snipped it off install a right angle vac fitting and a short piece of hose good to go.

P2004 = Intake manafold runner control stuck open.
