I have a 92 7.3 idi and just got done changing out the glow plugs, I had to break loose the injecter lines do I need to bleed them the truck is idling rough now.
If your truck is running at all then you don't need to bleed anything, just make sure all of the lines got tightened back up again and none of the lines are leaking fuel.
Make sure that your glow plugs are all tightened down as well, if it was running good before it should be running well now...
The only thing I can think is that you got some bad glow plugs, which I read is not uncommon. You can do an ohm test on them, if they read 000 they are bad(engine off, wire unplugged, measure at the terminal where the wire connects). Should read 5-ish ohms if good, which is close to 000's if you have an analog meter, so use a digital if possible.
Perhaps all new/good glow plugs change the timing of the engine slightly? Help here, anyone?
I know that the glow plugs help to complete the fuel burn, so bad ones might change the timing slightly, as well as having all new ones...
