Question 2nd Row Bench Seat Flap

On my 05 Ex, there is a flap on the 2nd row bench that is used to cover the floor when you fold it flat. The flap of material has come off and now the folding flap sits on the knees of the third row passengers. Has anyone come up with a way to hold up the folding flap? I searched but could not find any other threads.
Thanks,
David C.

Yeah...took mine off too. Not too often (if ever) that the seat gets folded down.

Yea the snap kit works great! The male end screws into the floor piece and you "crimp" the female part on the flap. Worked perfect for me.

Did you attach the snaps to the small cloth flap that goes over the cover? On my Ex the small cloth flap came off the back of the seat. I looked at some snaps and I do not think they will attach to the rear of the seat or to the floor cover.

I used a bungee cord with carabiner clips. Clip one end to the head rest and the other to the child safety seat attachment.

All,
Thanks for the great ideas. I decided to use snaps to hold it up. I bought a piece of heavy duty felt that has adhesive on back. I folded it in half and fastened snaps (four total) to the piece of felt. I then screwed the male part of the snap into the back of the seat and the back of the fold down piece. Now it seems to be holding great. Time will tell how durable it is.

They are connected with big hinges on the bottom that have screws holding them in

Disregard, I figured it out! Layed the flap down peeled back the carpet and voila, removed the screws and those dang annoying things are now in the closet! Very easy to do, I just didn't peel back the carpet enough to see the screws!

Installed Expedition clips on mine - they work great and keep the whole thing firmly in place.
