I have five Jeeps now. Hopefully by next weekend I'll be down to three with many extra parts...or so goes the plan.
I'm still collecting parts for the F-100. Hopefully by the time I want to plate it again, the current registration will have fallen out of the system. That should save me some $$$ over a lapsed registration.
Thanks for the kudos guys... I see how this club "Chapter" goes... I guess since I am still new, I am out of the loop and was expecting more activity. This, to me, is another meeting place for guys in the RMFTC when they are here learning from the broad pool of everything FORD truck.
Since you both have older models, yall know where I can find new rear springs for my 67? I have the heaviest duty model with the 5600 gvw and the rear leafs were replaced who-knows-when and look to be some sort of hack-job. They have 11 leafs, and the ends of #2 and #3 leafs look as though they were cut off because as I can only guess, they weren't for this truck.
I never got that far on my '67. My springs were fine so I don't know wheres the best place to get 'em. I'm sure L M C or Dennis C, JC whit, will have them..
Billy, Sorry to hear about whats going on, it hurts me to say this (because ive been thru similar situations and know how you feel) but its better to find out now, than find out later in life. She didnt ruin YOUR life, she ruined your lives together. You are still your own person, and you can move on from it and be happy again. It takes awhile, but just give TUX alot of attention, and before you know it,it will be race season and you will meet some gearhead girl out at the race track!!
Doug, Try calling Denver Spring & suspension , 303-295-7638. He found me springs for my old 55 dodge custom royal lancer, im sure he will be able to track down springs for your 67.
Doug, the springs should be fairly common and available.
My F-100 has the same GVWR, scaled at 4600 empty. I think the GVWR is a result of the 4x4 drive train. One time I did get an interchange list, it included any 4x4 from an F-100 to an F-250 within a year-specific range.
I've done business with Denver Spring and Suspension and Mid-West. Both shops are good.

Thanks guys... I was thinking I would try both, well either one. I wouldn't be too interested if it weren't that the springs were cut, but telling from the rust, they must've been on there a while!
