Chevy Dually question
I have a friend that has a 2005 Duramax dually, (I know, I tried to talk him into a 7.3, at least he went diesel this time, he HAD a V10 Dodge before this one) and he wants to go a little bigger on the tires. Do any of you dually guys have an idea what size he can go with and not have any issues?

What he said. The offset on the GM wheels isn't as large as the Ford wheels. You CAN get away with 225/75 (short) or 85 (tall) tires as long as you run max pressure or don't haul anything. 225 width is the most you can run without spacers.

yeah i dont see why you couldnt run a 265 but you would need at the very least a 2 inch but i would use a 2.5 inch spacer. this is off topic but i got another customer that has 285's on a 05 dodge with no spacers and it dont rub.

Thanks guys, it's a 4x4. He uses it to haul his big 5th wheel and some medium hauling other times so he needs some decent clearance.I didn't realize they were so narrow. Another reason not to drive a Chevy.
