WHAT THE HECK? I decide to fix my truck and we get five inches of wet snow. Oh well, made for a nice day just to chill out and get inside "honey do list" accomplished.
After Church I decided to dig into the truck and found the passenger side hub bearing assembly was toast. Sounded like the bearing cage had separated and the bearings were free floating, heck of a racket. Also noted significant discoloration from what I persume was heat. Stub axle looked fine and the inner bearing race in the hub looked fine (thankfully). After a lengthy test drive I can confirm the noise is gone.
