manual conversion?
I have a 1999 350 with an auto in it. it is leaking ATF and i have been wanting a maual transmission anyway. is this a good idea? is it a fairly simple project? i have done a conversion on a manual to an auto before and it didnt seem to run right or shift right after. i just wanna know if there will be any problems going from an auto to a manual and how easy or hard the proccess will be.

I have not done this on a diesel but i would think if you can find the hardware, it wouldnt be too bad. I know old junk trucks we have done for mud toys wasnt bad. If you go from man to auto, you need a diff pcm but i am not sure going from auto to man.
