differences
I am looking at buying a new 2010 f-150. It's either going to be an xlt 4x4 or the fx4. what are the differences, if any, beyween the '09 and '10? I am in Iraq and plan to buy through the overseas program offered here, but the only brochures they have are for the '09's. I know asthetically they should be identical. Are there any additionl options to be mindful of? Have they done anything to the 5.4 or the new 6 speed? any improvements (not that they need any...).
I used to post on here a lot, but have been scratching my mustang itch for the last year or so, restoring my 66. It's done now, and my wife is putting miles on my '00 f-150 like crazy. So it's time for a new truck. Any idea when the 5.o should be out? Should I just wait for that?

how are the brakes better? bigger discs? I got the towing package, I am assuming is the one you are talking about. has the upgraded trans cooler and oil cooler... It was standard on the FX4, whichever packege that comes with. Anything else? Bueller?

They switched to electric cooling fans for '10. I know the calipers are thicker (extend further out) and wheels that fit the '04-'08 trucks will not fit the newer ones due to the larger caliper size. Also, the power rear window has a defroster feature and costs a little more. There are two tow packages: the basic tow pkg. and the max tow pkg. which requires the 3.73 axle ratio (which is already the standard ratio w/e-locker in the FX-4 pkg). The only thing about the FX-4 is they only come with black interiors.

I ordered the FX4 today... And I saw in another thread that they switched to electric fans... Does this come with a higher power rating or slightly higher mileage? Yeah, I had to get the black interior... looks nice, but on a 4x4, sure is gonna get dirty...wish they'd offer a grey interior on fx4. Oh well. Still a helluva truck... you don't wanna know what I spent/ am spending...
