My choke stopped working on me and I just don't know where to start looking or what the fix might be. Would appreciate any help with this. The temperatures are dropping and I need to get it fixed a soon as possible.

It isn't ideling up when started, used to but not eny mo. So it takes a few extra minutes to warm up and drive without stalling. Starts back up OK and when warm runs fine. All other bodily functions seem normal. I haven't checked any codes yet. So you say check the codes first, I can take it to AutoZone. Any code in particular associated with something easy to fix? Thx. Bill
Check to see if the IAC is working first; unplug it with the engine idling, and see if the speed drops. If so, it's probably working.
More likely the engine coolant temperature sensor is not working, so the EEC always thinks the engine is warm, so it's not applying the proper controls when it's cold. I'm not sure which one that is on a 3 liter.
I think I'll top of the radiator as it may be a bit low based on the temp surge today. Then pull the sensor off and clean it and then see what happens in the morning.
also check wiring plugin connections on ECT engine coolant temp sensor.
