4x4 not engaging

Haven't been on here in a long time. I have a early '99 F350, hasn't been driven in abouy two years. Getting ready for snowplow and found out no 4x4. Turn switch and the light doesn't even come on. Would like any ideas.

The shift motor is probably out. Mine went out last winter. Fairly easy to replace. Picked one up at the local autoparts store.

Does the 4x4 light turn on when the ignition is first turned on? Do you have a manual to check fuses?

No the light does not come on when I turn key on. I did check the fuses and they were good. Maybe I missed one I'll check again.

Here's a link where you can get an owners manual. The fuses and relays should be listed. Perhaps you could swap a relay with another of the same rating.

Have a manual. Tried switching relays.
