i have an '05 F250 4x4 super cab short box 3v 6.8L with 5 spd troq-shift trans. the thing is bone stock, the ride is like most any other super duty but what i was wondering is if anyone else has had this same problom as i, rolling down the freeway @ about 75 mph everything is fine but when i go over some bridges, coming back off the otherside over the gap where the bridge ends & the pavement begins if that gap is just alittle bit more of an off set than usual, that will send my truck into a violent shake or chatter so bad that i've had to already slow down to 40 mph to get it to calm back down. Of course going @ slower speeds like 70, this is less likely to happen. Also when i'm hauling stuff or towing my goose neck, it doesn't do it either. I know rough riding is a heavy duty truck thing but i don't want to drive around with 500 pounds of stuff in the back to keep it from chattering over bridges. Besides it seems to be worse in the front than the back. One thing i've thought about was maybe the tires. They're the BF'gs rugged trail t/a, they're the original tires yet so they might be getting alittle too hard from drying out. What do ya think ?
does it want to rip the steering wheel out of your hands? and feel like the front axle is going to rip out of your truck. that's the death wobble! It happend to me...
sounds to me like your talking about the rear end of the truck hopping? you might want to look at replacing your shocks...mine did that too before I lifted my truck and the shocks that came off the truck were toast, felt like there was no resistance to them, the new shocks I could barely move the shaft and the hopping is gone...just a thought anyways.
