Hello all, as it says above, I live in IA. Des Moines to be exact.
Truck: 78 F-150 2wd 300 I-6 NP435
Red and white XLT, rusty but trusty
Bought it this spring from a family who's grandfather bought it new in 78. 180k miles on it, but still runs like a champ after a couple of new gaskets.

Thank you all, been lurking around for about a month or so before I decided to join up. What a great fount of information there is here! Hope to see you all around when I start rebuilding my 78...Got the vision, just need the finances and time to put it all together (don't we all

Hey dude I'm in Davenport too, it's cool to see someone on here from around these parts. I too have a '78 f150 4x4 w/300 6 banger. Hey what ever you do don't get rid of that tough motor. I'll be watching for that rebuild w/attached pictures. So welcome we're glad to have ya with us.
