I have checked the archives before posting this question & have found nothing, so I am hoping someone out there can help me!
My rear radio controls do not work, can anyone tell me if there are any common problems with them & if there is a fix to it?
All I can tell ya is that they just don't work!
On my 1999 Expedition, pressing radio station preset buttons 3 and 5 simultaneously enables/disables the rear radio controls. Note that working these switches also turns on/off a headphone-like symbol just to the left of the clock readout.
This feature is intended to prevent little fingers or feet from changing the station every 5 seconds.
Also, simultaneously pressing buttons 3 and 6 performs a speaker test.
I have to sign off now, I just wedged my Expedition into the garage door opening.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 13-Sep-02 AT 11:33 PM (EST)]I already got the concept of the button pushing thing to turn it off & on...but thank you anyway!
I did say in my post "that it just don't work!"
Let me get more specific....My rear radio controls don't work when I simultaneously push the 3 & 5 buttons.
Has anyone had this problem & had to fix it?
