I'm going the other way around. Already got a NOS ford grille, new headlight doors, new upper and lower grille trims, and 3 sets of used hood letters, and haven't even started prep yet. I'm going with the 80-81 style chrome/black rather than the chrome/argent it came with. I have a 1980 Ranger XLT as well and I'm building a 351W based stroker to replace the 302 in it now.
Which style/color grille are you going with or are you going billet?
BTW- It's really looking good. What part of Mississippi are you in?
The grille was bought by an insurance claim even though it was trashed when I bought the truck. The kid broke off a small piece and they paid. So I grabbed a stock one off ebay. The work I'm doing to the front is "spend some of the insurance and get it back looking ok". She is a farm tool but I like nice farm tools.
My upper and lower grille trim is ok and I have 2 good headlight bezels.
I also replaced a push bumper (smashed flat). The bumber is still bent some (you can see the push bumber not lining up). I'll pull it out some as it's a bit close to the fender.
Had to put a tube in my daily driver so no work done today
Edit: I have some experience with carbon fiber. I keep thinking how to apply it. My door panels look like crap
Edit: Jackson Area
