I had my truck reflashed yesterday and wow what a difference. The transmission shifts a lot better, it also seems to take off from a dead stop better also. The other good thing is my milage in one day has gone up by 5 points on the lie-o-meter. It has never been up this high before in town. By the way my lie-o-meter has only been off by 2 to 3 points from hand calculating, and I did not reset it after the reflash.
I just got the reflash a while back. Question, If a guy had an SCT X3 tied to the truck before the re-flash, what would he have to do to get it working again?
Did you have your tune loaded or did you put it back to stock before getting the flash?
Stock before the flash. It had the Buzz flash before. I dont have many miles on it since so MPG is unknown. Feels like less power to me, but I need to give it time to relearn shift points etc.
So, I need to send the SCT X3 in somewhere?
You don't have to unlock the XCal3 like you did the Xcal2. The Xcal3 will do it automatically. You will need to reread your strategy and have your tuner supply new tunes for the upgraded flash.

FYI--The only other thiing about the Xcal's is that you only get 5 unlocks and a reflash counts for one. Every time you change it to a different vehicle it counts for one.
