I recently picked up a lower mileage 351w from a '95 Bronco. Also, purchased a set of GT40 heads.
We've been nursing our '92 Bronco along with 190,000 mi. and it's leaky 351W. It has recently developed some throttle response problems which has motivated me to move ahead with this swap.
Unfortunately, the GT40 Heads I bought don't have the same holes in the back for the warm air to enter when the engine is cold. This presents a problem for emissions testing. Is there some drilling I can get done? Should I find a different set of GT40's, or move to an area without emission controls? or both?
This is my first swap.
The E4OD Trans has been rebuilt. The Front & Rear Diff. are also done, 4.10's. So, I'd like to get a few more years out of her.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I've found some likely answers my own questions:
The throttle response may have been related to a damaged upper intake gasket.
I understand the vehicle may still pass an emissions test, without functioning thermactor holes in the heads. For the time being I will just bolt the Thermactor tube on the rear for show.
Yes, the old engine was leaking from the rear main, among other places. Even though it was replaced when the Tranny was done last year. The '92 engine is out now. I'm waiting for a few parts to finish up the rebuild on the '95.
