flathead 4bbl intakes

I was wondering if anyone is running Speedway Motors 4bbl intake on their flathead? And if you are happy with it? I have an Offy 4bbl intake on mine but the offset generator mounting point won't work with the March Performance serpentine pulley mounting system I just got. I picked up a new Speedway intake but it sure looks like there is a lot of sloppy casting in the runners. The other option would be an Edelbrock 4bbl intake.

Speedway sells a lot of knockoffs of other peoples' designs, made as cheaply as possible. If you can get a refund, go for it IMO.

I agree with Ross. You need to checkout Navaro intakes. http://www.flatheads-forever.com/cat...lmenu-126.html

The big box says "Made In the USA" but the boxes inside are labled "Made In China". Good Ol' Speedy Bill

Nafta, isn't it great. I agree Flatheads forever is the best source I found for getting my 49 squealing again.

Iwould like to get a look at the speedway intake - I need some runner length and that looks pretty good from the pictures

It's an open plenium under the carb plate and there are some sharp edges and junk left in the runners from the casting. It would take a bit of grinder work to make it perform, but it might be a starting point, but I am disappointed with the quality for $400.00.
