Good find Ranger! I just noticed it is a F350 with a Dana 60 up front. This is a rare truck!

Plans are to put it back in to a stock looking paint job. I'm probably going to go with black and silver like my Bronco instead of the black and white. Trim will be replaced.

Yes it still has the D60 up front. The truck will be in good hands and will make a great replacement for the black 250.

Well it took a little longer than I thought to get this thing shipped. I had a couple of friends from FSB run up to Atascadero and haul it back to LA for me. The transport company picked it up from his place today. I should have it in a couple weeks or less depending on when the transport company gets a full load headed this way.

So I finally got the truck home and there is no paperwork in the truck. The title and all of the original paperwork were supposed to be in the truck. Now I can't get in touch with the seller, won't answer emails, won't answer phone calls. I'm a little bit pissed off about this...

I was afraid of this. I almost bought it from him. I had the cash and was 1/2 way there............he would not answer his calls...........did not want to buy it out from under you but he said you flaked............I wish you well. You can do a lost title and transfer if you have to.

I flaked? Yeah right... That's why the truck is sitting in my driveway. A couple of guys from FSB picked it up for me and they told me he met them in a K-Mart parking lot with it. He was gone before they started loading it. They also told me that there was no paperwork in the truck, they looked it over well for me.

I don't think I can do a lost title for it, it would probably have to come from the original owners name. I sent him another email and if he doesn't respond I guess my next step is a lawyer.

I appreciate you not buying it out from under me but if I had a crystal ball at this point it would of probably been nice if you had.

Wow, don't like the guys at the SHOP do ya? Let me just tell you that Ed and Ron took time out of their lives to drive 200+ plus miles to pick this up for me to get it into LA. I doubt they have anything to do Woth this and dont see what they would gain but I appreciate your concerns.

Well I decided to call my local PD to get involved with the title issue. Good news is the truck is not stolen and the plate on it is registered to the guy I bought it from and registered to the truck. Even better news is the fact that I can get a title by bond in IL and have a clear title to the truck. It is going to cost $$ to get it done but I don't have any other option considering the seller is not returning calls or emails. Lucky for him I don't live closer to Atascadero, Ca or I'd be picking the title up myself.

Good for you! the whole deal seemed shakey, glad you found a way to get a title. Some states are more easy going than others, best to you!

I have to get it appraised, get a security bond and have the bank wire transfer paperwork to get it done. It will probably cost around 3-400 bucks but it is what it is. I'd really like the seller to just pick the phone up and tell me WTF is going on....

I've already started stripping this thing down to get it ready for paint. Going to be tough to get an appraisal for it.

Rear tailgate panel went from this:

To this:

Found this under the carpet. Might explain a lot of my problems for not getting the title.

Want to get sicker? Look what happened to the dash. Shake and spray was his friend. Radio bracket bent out of the way breaking the heater control tabs..... I'll be pulling the entire dash out to repaint it. I guess now is the time to figure out if I want to keep the spot lights or not.

On another note I was able to get in touch over the phone with his Aunt who in turn said she would talk to her sister to get the title issue resolved.
