Need some input
First I replaced the end links which didn't solve the problem, and then I pulled and tugged on every other suspension part hoping to find something loose and nothing. I thought maybe I'm missing something so on three different occasions I had mechanics check it out all to report that nothing is wrong. One indicated that it could be a strut mount but wasn't sure, so being that's all I had to go on I changed it out for a new one and still no luck.
The clunk occurs in the passenger front when coming to a stop and when the transmission downshifts, when first accelerating albeit more muted and when turning left at low speeds. The noise is just one clunk as though something is shifting. When turning left its more of a series of small clunks but not constant like a CV joint.
What is your opinion - do you think it’s the motor mount or lower control arm or something else?
