I met a new friend last weekend through FTE and thought I would share the experience.
I posted my original 292 in the classifieds here on FTE a few months ago. About a month ago I get a response from a gentleman from the Houston area inquiring about it. We correspond via email and a date to show the engine was set. He arrived, we looked it over, I fired it up on the engine hoist and he agrees to purchase the engine. We load it up and talk trucks for a while. He really seemed to be a nice fellow and we agreed to say howdy every once in a while.
It just goes to show, not every one on the web is a looney looking for trouble.

This gets me thinking about Jen's idea for a get-together, I believe we can make it happen sometime this fall even though my truck still won't be ready.

How about it Jen, care to organize everything and let us know?

 

Sounds like a good idea to me! I'll be tied up working a TA at our plant close to Alvin from the end of Sept. to Mid-Nov. (night shift, 7/13's) so I won't be able to have much of a social life in that time frame. I'd like to find a trailer to bring SB along, I can't see getting it finished before the end of the year. ...Trey

 

Its about time Krosati! The question is what we want to do? I think that a BBQ would be our best bet. Family and friends can come as well. We need to decide when is the best time and who brings what.
