78' ford front end Clunking...
Just recently my front end passenger side has started clunking, when I first drive off and then goes away after 50 kilometers an hour. I'm really wondering if its the universal joints well praying that it's that; easier to replace! or the axle bearings and seals are shot?

50 km? whats that, about 30, 35 mph? i would guess it is probably the wheel bearing. it would only be a u-joint if you leave your hubs locked in 24/7. you might try poppin the wheel off and making a visual/kinesthetical examination. make sure there is nothing that "attached" its self, and see if there is a hard spot when you turn the rotor. if you DO leave your hubs locked in, then unlock them, and see if it goes away. if so, probably a u-joint, if not, probably the bearing. parts like the bearings and u-joints typically let you know before they get too far gone and do damage to the parts they are in connection with.
