hey I'm bach I don't want to pay $150 for an aftermarket diesel tach cause this is a gas truck that I put the diesel moter in so I took the one that was in the diesel truck and am trying to wire it in and it reads 650rpm at idle but when you rev it up and it gets to 2000rpm it drops out and wont read properly I put a new sensor and have checked all of my conections over and over I any ideas?
Thanks
everything is still in the instrument cluster and the wires coming through through fire wall I'm just runing my owen separet wires for the diesel tac and it's a manual trany.
Thanks
If everything is still under the dash for the gasoline motor, my guess is you are getting a signal through the insturment cluster stock wiring causing your trouble.
