2000 Headlight Change

I was looking over the engine compartment of my 2000 Expy and was thinking about changing to higher watt headlamps.

The passenger side bulb looks easy, but what needa to be removed to access the drivers side? Take out the Coolant Bottle?

Thanks for the help.

1st. . . Don't put the higher wattage bulbs in, you will risk burning out your wiring harness and they don't last long either.

Your best bet is to get Sylvania Silver Star or PIAA Super White Bulbs, they run at the same wattage but put out a bit more as well as a more white light. These premium brand bulbs cost a bit more but will last much longer and not burn you wiring.

The bulbs are best changed by removing the whole head light assy.

Look carefully at the back side top of the grill surround just above the head lights and you will see two black, sliding retainers about 6" apart. These slid vertically (up) about two inches, thereby releasing the headlight assy.
