B7D1433A .. Flareside Spare Tire Bracket-Mounts to Left Rear Fender / Obsolete
Fits: 1953/79 F250 / No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
woops ya got me, i mean flairside. your note says bolts to left REAR fender. kind of a dumb question but isn't that bolted to the bed side in front of the rear fender and between the cab and fender? i pbly am misinterpreting the wording but wanted to double check since all the pics i see have them located there.
B7D1433A .. Flareside Spare Tire Bracket- DOESNOTMOUNT to the Left Rear Fender!
Fits: 1953/79 F250
Whoops, ya got me! Sorta...
B7D1433Adoes mount to the bedside. I shoulda...coulda looked at the picture, instead of just looking up the part number.
This is what I was thinking of, when I typed that jazz: There are two different Flareside left rear fenders.
One has a cut-out for the spare tire to mount in, but it does not use this bracket.
The length of certain Flareside beds have to be long enough to mount the tire to the bed side.
Have you measured to see if the tire can actually be mounted there? How long is the bed?
Most Flareside beds do not have enough room to mount the tire in front of the rear fender.
The left rear fender with the cut-out was an option that some ppl ordered to mount the tire there, because it will not fit into the space in front of the fender.
well i took some measurements. my bed rail is 8' 1" long and i have about 18" between the front pillar support and where the front of the rear fender bolts up to the side panel. definately not room for a spare tire in there.
any guidence on what i need to get inorder to mount the tire between the rear fender and cab?. i'm gonna guess i need an f250 rear fender with an indent and some kind of factory bracket. i'm not sure witch bracket to get, or if this was even an option for my truck. if it was not an option i will drop the idea since i'm a stickler for originality.
