i was cruising craigslist looking for a donor truck and i came across a 1969 f100 in the modesto ca area. they said that they were the second owner and the truck had 60K original miles. they had a few pictures and the truck was nice. didn't look like anything special, just looked well taken care of and and original. nothing fancy. they were asking $10k. thats obviously more then i want to pay but i was curious if thats was a normal price for that year truck in that kind of condition.
Yeah, that's very high. It could be a real nice original truck, but I'd be surprised if they actually sell it for that much.
I bought my '67 F100 in Van Nuys, CA two months ago for $1000. It's pretty clean, no significant rust, almost all original, 352 auto, 185K miles, a minor crunch on the RF corner.
Here in SoCal, '67-'72 pickups in decent running condition go for $500-$1000. Nicely restored ones go for a couple thousand.
I gave $2000 for this truck 2 years ago. I have had differnet exhaust put on, rebuilt heads elctric fuel pump and now a cam and lifters. I will have about $4000 in it.
