Early '99 Intake

I'm plugging away at getting my newly acquired early '99 running. The air box and intake tube were trashed. I'm doing the 6637 mod but can't find a intake tube(airbox to turbo) Anyone know where I can get one??? Thanks!!! Dorsey(Razorbacks won today)

I'd give Clay a call at Riffraff.

Riffraff Diesel

Curious, what the heck happened to the intake tube?

I would go to a junk yard and get the hose off a late 99-03. Their longer and eliminate the need for a bend in the pipe for the 6637.

The intake tube had cracks in it. I talked to Clay and he didn't have one. My understanding is the the early '99's had there own style intake tube since the turbo is smaller. Can I use the later model tube???

No, the earlies have a smaller turbo and the pipes are smaller too.

Wonder if Ed the parts guy would be able to get one for you.

I have the tube from the ccv to the filter. It's yours if you want it. PM me your address, and I'll send it out Monday.

It's nothing that yourself and several others here haven't done for me.

Edit: He is going to hold off to see if any one has a complete intake. If anybody has one, post up.

The intake hose at the turbo will fit the Early '99 if you do the CCV mod and replace the the plastic adaptor with a 4'' piece of exh pipe. The difference in the hoses is the turbo pedestal height and therefore has different bends. Inlet and outlets are the same size. I believe I've still got the late '99 -up hose ( will have to check), if you need it. I've got the air box also, but not the hose from it to the CCV adaptor. My nephew has it on his E'99 along with my old 6637.

I should have everything he needs, airbox to the turbo, minus the CCV block.
I'll look tonight to make sure. Let me know if you need it, and I'll top huck's offer, I'll get it out before Monday(next monday that is)!
