Put the flywheel in a freezer as cold as it will go for a couple hours and put the ring gear on the grill and get her good and hot. After that you can typically just tap lightly, but be
sure to tap the high spot don't try to get one side all the way down work it on gradually all the way around.

Doesn't have to be super hot, maybe 200 degrees or so. I did mine on a charcoal Weber, don't get it glowing or any thing like that, just hot enough so you need gloves to pick it up.

I got it on there I put the flywheel in the freezer for a hour and a half and the ring gear for a hour and a half and it worked THANKS for your help I put the oven on 350. When I took them out I used 2 C Clamps one on one side one on the other and tapped lightly and just kept tighting the C clamps.
why or how did you end up with a bad flywheel? previous owner gave up trying to fix his, so he sold me a truck(1981 2wd) for three hundred bucks. hopefullly there is not another condition, causing her to eat flywheels
