OK - so it isn't that big of a big deal, but it is the first on my 7.3 Had it for 2 years now, and love it.
I changed the stock oil drain plug out for one of Guzzle's brass drain valves. Did it without changing the oil, I figure I lost less than 1/2 pint of oil.
Oil sampling, here I come!
I am used to doing factory-based modifications on my Slick, but not really upgrading with non-stock components. For example, I changed the single pot master cylinder with front drum brakes to dual post power disc brakes, using a '76 F-150 as a donor. Also went from a 352 3-speed to a 460 C-6, using all Ford parts to bolt it up with only very minor alterations.
I think the first mods for my 7.3 shall be to get the the air filter upgrade and then AE software. Tunes come later when money allows. I recently trashed the K&N that came with the truck and put in a paper filter with noticeable improvement in performance.

I agree with the 6637 mod, as well as guages so you know what's going on with your rig, but don't forget to upgrade the exhaust especially if you're gonna add a tuner. Wanna keep those EGT's down. Congrats on the first mod though!
