MTZ vs PJ

I'm debating between Parnelli Jones Dirt Grips and Mickey Thompson MTZ for a tow rig. I want a 36X15 tire that balances well, has good on road ride, and at least fair off road performance. I had IROK's before and they were good in the mud but not that great on road. Everybody and thier brother has 35X12 BFGs on thier truck around me and I want something a little different. Anybody have any first hand experience with either of these tires?

No first hand experience with either but have talked to people who run both and it seems from what I've heard the MTZ is just about on par with the BFG MT all around and the PJs have a good street ride and are decent off road except in the mud where they're a disappointment

I used dirt grips on my jeep and they were awful on the street.started chunking and just fell apart. They were great off road.never heard anyone ever say they were a good street tire so thats a first.

i knew a kid with a power wagon with the mtz and he said they were nice on road, but the truck never went off highway. i have tsl radials on mine and theyre fantastic. theyre on the noisy side, but they ride nice, dont vibrate, track straight, make the truck ride smoother with the bigger sidewall, and theyre rated at like 3500lbs i think. id give them a look, i really like them. ive heard somewhere that the pjs are good onroad and balance really well, but theyre an expensive tire so they should.

Ive got a 92 f 150 running the 33 12.5 15 MTZ's. They are F'ing awesome. Ive got at least 43000 miles on them and still have about 50 percent tread. They are great on road and do even better in the snow. The mud they do very well, not like a bogger or anything, but way better than the bfg mud terrains it had when i bought the truck. The price is great too!

I have a pic of the truck in the snow, i was in 4 wheel but no slippage unless i burried the throttle...LOL.

Thats the brother in law standing at the truck, hes about 5'5" and the dog is my 90 lb. lab he was belly dragging...LOL
