Any fabricators?
Check your local business park for metal fabricators. They usually build to your specifications when they aren't too busy. I had a reciever hitch made for my 63 Bonneville, and a stock air cleaner modified to an open element type. Neither cost me more than I expected and they worked with me on the designs.

I am in San Antonio. I saw your bumper and it looks cool...how heavy is it? One of my main concerns with buying or having a bumper made is with weight and approach angle...don't want it sticking out too far. I got some ideas for what I want I just can't do the build myself.

I like this guys bumper in his gallery, but I can't afford it right now.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 04-Jan-03 AT 06:09 PM (EST)]I'm not sure exactly what it weighs, but I wouldnt put it on anything smaller than a F-250. I have a 92 F-150 4x4 for a farm truck that I'm wanting to get a Warn Enforcer bumper for with a Warn 9000 winch. I thought about trying to build a "light weight" bumper that looks like the one on my 350, but knowing me I'd just keep adding more and more steel!
That one on the Bronco looks nice. There was a post on the ford part of Offroad.com that had one heck of a nice lookin bumper on a Bronco. I'll try and dig it up agian, but if I remember right the bumper was around $700.

Must be nice to be able to build that stuff yourself. There's a guy around here that built his own that looked pretty good. If my sister hadn't gone off to be a massage therapist, I could get her to do it. She put a hard top on our stock trailer to make it better for horse hauling. But she's in Phoenix selling beauty care stuff and going to massage school. Talk about a switch huh?... ;-)
