Throttle pressure misadjustment

Would misadjusted throttle pressure cause this?:

Hard shifting

Seems to drop into neutral when you are going down the road, youll be going then you can push the pedal feels like its in neutral, rpms go up but truck doesnt move

hard pedal? My pedal seems to be hard to push sometimes, other times its easier and the truck seems to have more power.

Also could this cause bad gas mileage? my 94 f150 5.0L auto tranny gets 8 mpg....

Conanski said it- electronically there's a number of things that could cause it. As for the pedal issue, you might try lubricating the cable and cleaning the throttle body.
