I dont know anything about the governor linkage. I
disconnected the linkage going from the pump to the
transmission. I think it is for overdrive. I was having
trouble getting it to fit on the linkage hook-up on the
transmission for some reason and work right. Figured I
didn't need it anyway, so I disconnected it. I'll go ahead
and take the pump out and check and see if the screen
at the input is stopped up. If not, I'll be picking another up.
Thanks for your input.
Before you do anything else, fill your fuel tanks and see what happens.Maybe the trouble are the fuel lines in your tank on the sending units which have broken off. That seems to be a common problem. If they break off they shorten the siphon tube so you don't get all the fuel out of the tank. You may only burn 12 or 13 gallons before it seems to run out.
I will do this and work crank it over now until I get the air out of the system and see
what it will do. It might be a good idea to go ahead had drop the tanks and
see what I need to replace. It seems like I filled up the rear tank and drove it
about a half hour (maybe 25 miles) and it stopped. I had it towed home and have
let it set. I need to get it going again. I'll let you know what I end up doing and
how it turned out. Thanks for the input.

Thanks, Sounds good to me. It might save me a lot of work. This is not something
I'm going to be able to get right on though. I might be able to check it out later
this afternoon.
