My 02 EXPY started making this noise like a lifter clatter. Called dealer they said don't worry Noisey lifetrs can go for thousands of miles. So I didn't worry. Noises got worse next week, dealer found number 6 rod is going. EXPY only has 30,000 miles on it still under warrenty. Has anybody every had this problem?
Also FORD who I'm not to happy with( not dealership ) is making the mechanics jump through all these hoops before putting in new motor
Isn't that what a WARRENTY is for???:-staun
Herein lies the problem with warranties - I'm sure in the EXTREMELY fine print, it says something like "....replace OR repair; at manufacturer's discretion....". As far as the mechanical failure goes, #####e happens. I would think that if you push hard enough, Ford would cave in and fix it. 30,000 miles is WAY too soon to be having trouble....
