HI guys new to fte great site . i have a 2008 F350 shortbed . i just bought a 2006 crossroads fifth wheel trailer .has anyone used a pullrite superslide hitch. Is it worth the money and is it as good as pullrite says it is.
thanks phil
I know several RVers that have or had them. No problems that I know of. The Hads sold theirs for a good price when they no longer needed the slider (bought long bed).
If you are new to towing the fifth wheel, having a slider is important with a short bed pickup. You MIGHT get by without one IF you are extremely careful, have an extended hitch box and the trailer has sloped-inward corners. If you want to travel and forget about hitting the cab in sharp turns, get the Superglide.
I have a 2008, F250, V10, 410 gears, short bed. Have the Superglide and tow a 34' FW. Its a great hitch. Just make sure you keep it greased as per manufactures instructions.
I'm thinking about the Superglide myself. I just had my DrawTite 15K installed this week (was formerly in my Silverado shortbed) and I don't like how close the front of the camper is to the cab of the truck - it's closer than it was with the Silverado. I now have a 2008 F250 V10 shortbed. Seriously considering the Superglide. One crease in the cab and it's probably paid for (not to mention glass all over the kids in the back)!
Radio Flyer - a question for you. Can you tell us how tall (height) the hitch is? (from the floor of the bed to the top of the head of the hitch). I understand that the Superglide cannot be adjusted height-wise.

I think Pullrite makes a quality product. There are multiple sources of owner information for their slider on the Internet. There are other ways to handle hauling a fifth wheel with a short bed, that you can also consider. I see so many truck that have been crunched, I would encourage you to consider some means to avoid cab to trailer contact. As suggested, one crunch could well cover the cost of the Pullrite.
The folks at Pullrite are very helpful, so do not hesitate to call them directly if you have specific questions about installation or fit. It is a small company and I have always found the folks handling the phones to know their product.
Good point. I was thinking he was goosenecking his fifth wheel, although I am not sure.

Yea, my neighbor is looking at converting his fifth wheel to gooseneck. although he has a long bed. Just wondering the issues with a short bed to convert.
I have an auto sliding hitch in my truck and I love not having to think about how tight the turns are. Take a look at the Hyjacker autoslide. The nice thing about it is that you don't need an adapter plate on the trailer pin box. The bad thing is that it weighs a ton, well not a ton but 200+ lbs.
