I can't believe none of you are talking about the F100 Supernationals. Is no one going?

Grrrr...

Don't remind me!

I wanted my "F" to be on the road a long time ago, but the weather where I'm stationed has been it's worst on the weekends....

I'm beginning to think Mother Nature is biased agin' my truck!

Ain't gonna stop me....

Mebbee not this year, but the next will do!

I might not make it either. My 57 has been trying to make it for 4 years and it don't look good for her at all!!

I will be there next year. Someone is giving away a 53 F100 next year for the 25th aniversary of the Supernationals and the 50th of the F100.

Unfortunately, I have to work. I've got it on the calendar for next year, though!

Well, I have a dead-line now!

Final assembly of a lot of stuff has to be this week while I'm on a short leave.

Motor and tank install, and whatever I can do for the dash panel (it needs a new one bad)

I still have a five-speed box out of a mustang, but I really don't want to mess with it just yet.

The biggest drag is - I pretty much have to make it 100% smog legal, or figure on storing it in Memphis when I go to San Diego.

-But if I do that, I'll get another one from someone out there that doesn't realise what they have.

And I will be dipped in dung if I will ever even think about another V-6 truck!

I don't think I know what kind of truck you have. Email me at fifty7f100@cs.com. This message board thing is slow.

82 F-100, that was originally a V-6.

It has a 302 with headers and an Edelbrock intake now....

Approxly how far is "Pigeon Forge" from Memphis anyways?

I been thinkin' (and that's usually a sign of either something good, or serious regrets).

I need to put together a five year plan. I took a lesson from the writings of no less than Arnold Schwarzenegger a long time ago -

"Plan for five years from now, deal with today, forward your interests any way you can!"

What do I want to be doing in 5 years, truck-wise?

For one, I want to have a full-blown working custom shop going, even if it's only for my own toys...

I can do that once I flip off the last NAVY boss I have, while going out the gate.

I am a firm believer in good tools, and a wild imagination.
(Of course, a wire-feed welding unit and a cut-off saw would be tremendously helpful...)

My 5 year plan. "Try really hard to be still breathing then." If I can manage that one, I may think of something to do when I get there.

I think I can manage that.

I can manage it a lot better if I give up nicotene, but I can do it...

Are you quite sure?

(He asks, innocently...)

The other response I thought of was:

Maybe so, maybe not - but I had better post a reflash watch on my BOSS...

I think something there is still burning beneath the surface, and could re-ignite at any time...
