I`m going to do a PS flush today, maybe look at the e-brake cable and grease all the nipples I can find! I'm also looking into the stuff I'll need to repair the rust holes in the cab. And as it turns out I have a 350, not a 250! I queried the VIN # on Ford's Fleet website and found that out. I don't have any door sticker so it was a mystery and the dealership was sure she was an F 250. Fancy that, eh?
Yesterday I put another light switch is the 75 (my wife calls it the bruise, that name may stick. Today she got a couple new eyes so she can see at night. A couple bumper bolts and some new screws to hold on the rear license plate. I tried to put a new doughnut on the driver side, of course it's not the same as the passenger side. So it still does not have one. Beginning to wonder if that side is supposed to have one.
Fired up the 66 last week. Put in some brake fluid and now have some pedal.
Yesterday, I unloaded all my field gear from the truck. Then I took the dry box out and removed the headache rack. Tomorrow I am going to bolt on the new Bed hooks that I made on Wednesday (The stock cargo hooks bent last winter), and load my freshly painted snowmobile deck.
Picked up a replacement drivers side fender for the rusted and dented original. Also picked up a straight tailgate to replace the rusty and bent one currently on the truck (rookie 5th wheel owner forgot to drop the 'gate when disconnecting the trailer. Bowed out so much I have to have the canopy mounted about 2 inches back so the hatch will latch).
Monday I have a line on a 10.25 full floating rearend complete with heavyduty leafsprings to beef up the back.
Turns out the rearend had been sitting at the bottom of a big puddle and wasn't worth it. The 3/4 ton leaf springs, however, will find their way under Solid Gold soon.
hi all,
now i have to work on my shadow. the driver window guide clips broke. so i had the window rolled up and my wife rolled it down and the glass came off the window regulator.
I got a fair amount done today, got the transmission and clutch out, the whole front axle , I just have to cut a mount off the rear springs to get the rear axle out!!!

I guess it wasn't floating after all, but on the bottom.
I was just at Costco today, buying some food, and I went down the oil aisle. Quaker State "Q Torque Power" full synthetic 5W20 was going for $19.99 for a box of 6. That's $10 cheaper than 5 bottles of regular dino QS 5W20 from Crappy Tire. So, I bought the box, and even at their regular price of $24.99 for a box of 6, after 5 of those, I should have 5 extra bottles, and enough oil to do another oil change. HA! Too bad it'll take another year and a half to rack up enough mileage for that. So, I'm gonna try it out. First time with synthetic too, so I'll make note of the mileage, if there is a difference. Just gotta hit the dealer for a Motorcraft filter.
