I just replaced the water pump on my truck due to the plastic impeller spinning on the shaft. Solved my truck getting hot but not my in cab heat.
It will sort of blow a little bit of a warm coolish air but not warm enough to warm your hands at all.
I thought maybe air was the problem but I have drove it and it still the same. It will get colder when going down the road.
Any ideas??? Im lost
Depending on how long you drove with the impeller like that you may have a plugged heater core and/or an air lock. You can check the input and output temp for your heater core with a laser thermometer, it might be cheaper to buy one of those than it is to have the dealer to test it. The other thing you will want to look at is your thermostat. It may not be working right either, especially if your engine has gotten pretty hot repeatedly.
