Unhappy v10 problems!!!

hey guys i need some help in a bad way...my excursion had been to 4 shops and has been sitting for 7 months now...when you drive the thing and pull up to a stop light or a stop sign and prepare to stop and when you do stop the motor lugs down to around 400 rpm and wants to stall and sometimes does and when you pull away it shifts down to first,so its like it stays in second while your on the break and when you let off the brake pedal and start to roll it shifts down...it also at an idle in park stalls and misses every once in a while...sounds like a machine gun sound at an idle....iac has been changed,,,maf has been changed,,,cops have been changed,,,,speed sensors have been changed.....check engine light is on but registering no codes? tranny shop ran the tranny for codes but came up with nothing....im at wits end trying to fig this out...could it be the main computer? i dunno whats left so hopefully someone out here can help

little more info would be nice.... year?, mileage?

maybe one or more of your plugs has back out. have you had to plugs replaced?

if its sticking in 2nd gear (or maybe the converter is staying locked) then maybe your Torq Converter is taking a dump.

I wanna say its due for some plugs or injectors and maybe a fuel filter.. have you tried running fuel injector cleaner through it?

just curious but when u say 4 different shops were any of them Ford dealer service dept.s ?

i find it hard to beleive a dealers service dept. couldnt source the problem.. from what ur saying repair wise so far it sounds like the shops are just throwing parts at it...

i'd find a GOOD local Ford service center.. im sure they'll get it sorted

ford dealers around here are most likely to throw even more parts at it and then charge me for everything when it was one thing...example...here you go sir your excursion is ready to roll...bill 6200.....well you needed a new engine, computer, wiring harness,transmission,converter,,ect.ect.ect....oh and our labor rate was 85 and hour thx but no thx..ill take my chances with some reputable local buisnesses

Start with your plugs, then go to fuel filter, and see what you get.

Fuel pressure ,fuel pum,IAC ,vac leaks.

fuel pressure is 35 psi and the book says anywhere from 30 to 45,,,changed filter, changed spark plugs,, iac is brand new, no vacum leaks....drove it with the snapon computer and truck acted the same way....started reading codes and then lost all data....im gonna get a ecm and have it changed out and go from there i guess

not unheard of..

my 99 F250 V10 had the ECM go bad...

even after the techs @ Ford were sure it had passed the tests, to rule it out...

which goes to show sometimes even when u follow the rules/guides there can be exceptions...

If the check engine light is on and it is not storing any DTC's there is 2 probable causes. The keep alive memory fuse or circut is no good. check fuse f2.36 in the CJB. Also check to see if you have power all the time on pin 55 at the pcm. If the KAM fuse and circuts are good you probably have a bad PCM. The pcm should store a code anytime the MIL is on. If it doesn't there is an issue with the keep alive power or an internal pcm issue.

V10 Problems

One of the problems for sure is VACUME. They run crappy if the vacume system is compromised. The other is make sure one of your plugs isn't starting to strip out, They put a lot of pressure on the plug. it will blow right out.If you have those things going on your Control module will be going crazy trying to keep that motor running.
