I have a front out of an '05 with 3.73's and only 29k miles on it. It is complete with track bar, steering , AND trailing arms! This is complete. $750
If anybody is interested...I may still be able to get the matching rear
Things I will consider trading for.
FRONT LOADING WASHER AND GAS DRYER.
Cash.
A good lower mileage fuel injected 351 and cash.

thanks bubbasz1 but I need the leaf spring version, I'm not sure of the coil one can be converted. I found a few, but now what I need help with is the actual diagnosis... my chilton and haynes manual aren't worth the paper they are printed on and I dont want to spend the money on an alldata subscription.
I've never taken apart a ford front end before, and can't seem to find a parts diagram, I was thinking I would start pulling apart and then look for broken things as I went thru it.

Here's one in PA for $600.00 out of a 2000, should work but it doesn't say what gear ratio it is.

thanks again b, I'll check this one out... now I just found a flaw with my plan... how am I gonna get the new axle out of my buddy's truck?
I read these things weight between 500 and 1000 pounds depending on how complete the axle is, and how should i get it out of the truck. I dont have a cherry picker or a place to mount a come along on the cieling, think me and 3 or 4 other dudes an lift it?

that seems a bit high, but if that's accurate there are a few things you can do...
1) drain it
2) remove the axles
3) remove the spindles/hubs
that will take it down to the housing and carrier.
