i need a new engine
i have decided that instead of rebuilding my 360 , to replce with a 302 , 360 , or a 390 . does anybody know where i can get a parts truck or a new engine. 1970 f-250 camperspecial ranger xlt

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 21-Nov-02 AT 03:34 AM (EST)]If you decide to go with a 302, get one at a salvage yard. You might check if one out of a 87-91 fule injected mustang could have a carburated intake manifold put on it. The 302 out of a mustang is a High Output, and has a hydraulic roller cam.

300 inline six[solid as a rock]
various doors and panels..
8 ft box
assorted bits and pieces..
all in good shape.

I've got access to a few 302's and 351W's, a 351M, and a bunch of C6's to match for next to nothing, I also have a few spare 73-79 parts, not to much now though, I had access to a 76 F250 camper Special and a 76 F100, but, they got crushed... However, I'm in Sioux Lookout, so, I'm more than a bit out of the way...

Sounds like we have a similar truck.
I have a 71 F250 - I believe it was a camper special - based on the grill, and the heavy duty Dana rear axle, and 4Spd.
Orignially it had a 360, but now has a 400M which needs top and bottom end work.
There are a few 400M/351M's in Simcoe/Guelph area - I am in Toronto. I am planning to take my engine out, dissassemble, and decide to fix or replace. I don't want to do a full rebuild or anything, because I am really not going to use it very much.
How bad is your 360?
I'd be happy with a 302 and AOD, but I don't have the time to work out the swap details, nor the warm heated work space!!!!

hello, i have a 351m engine here (it has 1 cracked exh manifold though) the last owner said it ran good.
Needed a power steering box for a F-250 sooo i bought the whole truck
Needless to say its free to a good home.

I've got an 89 F150 Custom with a 302 and auto tranny whole truck $500 not sure of klm on motor as it was a replacment from Ford the trucks an old company truck i bough while i saved for a clutch in my broco 2 back 4 yrs now just sat here my dads "barrowed" a few parts ie, exhaust manifolds but engine ran perfect and its a low klm tranny out of an 86 Crown Vic that had 50000 klm on it
Anyone with a 460BB ?? lookin for a project motor....

the truck is South West of Brantford.... small country town called Wilsonville body's in rough shape but other good parts a year and a bit ago put $500 into it (new headlight, tail light rear tires breakes) low klm tranny unknown klm on motor good glass missing polution pump and an engine bracket well worth $500

I might be selling my whole truck (79 f-150) reg. cab long box for 2000$ soon.
Brand new box + tailgate. no rust at all. the cab is rusty though. and the engine has less tehn 10,000KMs on it. 302 RV cam, headers new exhaust etc;
If your interested in something like that to use on your truck let me know.
