Do a search there was someone earlier who mentioned that explorer disc will bolt to some 9"s if I'm not mistaken.

I bought the Ford Motorsports kit from Summit. It all bolted up well. The only two issues are locating and mounting cables for the parking brakes and the disks are solid and not vented.

Lightbulb FLANGE PATTERN!!!

Before you order any kit...ESPCIALLY the FRPP kit...carefully measure the axle flange bolt pattern!

NOT all those kits fit ALL the flange patterns!

Check & see what size bearing your axle SHAFT uses!

A LARGE bearing SHOULD be 3.15" o.d.

I am in the process of converting the front and rear of my '49 to discs. I ran into the problem Rocker Man mentioned with the measurements of the 9 inch. I bought the kit from Ford Racing but it's for the Torino 9 inch. I went with MasterPower brakes. I got the front and rear along with everything you will need. Good luck.
