A real gift list or what they would like? 1st girl, boy, girl, boy, boy easy wheels ( FORD would be appropriate, truck even better. What to actually get them? Haven't a clue ! 8 ear old boy, when I had a regular route with the same kids every day I used to give them coloring books & crayons. The next two girls are old enough to be a little difficult . Have no kids of my own, so no experience at this. At a guess, themed clothes ( whatever the current teen idol band is? ), possibly makeup? If they don't already have, cell phones / electronics. Good luck.
ok..... 1st girl, boy, girl have their own wheels.......next boy, boy have access to wheels whenever wanted or needed.....the eight year is perfectly content with halloween costumes any time of the year...he has a GREAT imagination....as for the youngr girls: they have cells, could care less about teen idol bands, they listen to classic rock and makeup isnt gonna happen.....one has terribly sensitive skin, the other goes overboard, so NO MORE!!!
just finished buying much needed winter clothes the past two weeks.....
as for electronics: we have more electronics in my family than a store......

but thanks for the help.....
Let me try this again. the last one didn't go through, don't know why. Just sat there spinning & said loading. Checked to make sure, getting tired of duplicates. Sorry I couldn't help. Like I said, no kids = no experience. Just guesses. Good luck!
The wife & I were just discussing the holiday shopping season and still haven't figured out just what the kids are getting. I suppose we're old fashioned or something, but our kids won't get cell phones until there is a pretty darn good reason for it. We've done MP3 players & digital cameras in the past, so those can wait a couple more years. I hate the years that they are getting a bit too old for toys, but still young enough that there needs to be something special under the tree. We've been toying with the idea of getting the kids a new computer for their games & school work, but haven't quite settled on anything for sure.
Anywho... haven't been on in a while - took full advantage of the beautiful weather to get a few things done this weekend. There's more firewood on the pile, got the camper winterized, changed the oil & air filter in the Tracker, and took the wife clothes shopping for the kids in Camdenton. I still need to get the van emptied out, install the two back seats, and change the oil so I can be ready to go to West Plains Saturday morning for a Scout workshop. If I'm lucky, I might even get some more wood cut up too. Looks like another full weekend for me...
old fashioned or not.....my children have cells for various reasons......the older are teenagers and each having their own phone when they travel out on their own is a safety measure...no excuses for not checking in....even Pauls daughter (20 yrs old) checks in with me more than she does him (no offense, my love).....
as for the younger ones....we live in a rural area, having moved from IL to WV....my children (as well as myself) know absolutely no one out here.....they will have at all times a form of connection to myself and Paul.....the younger ones didnt have a cell until after we moved out here, and would have never gotten one until 8th grade graduation, just as the older ones did.....

did I do good???
LOL
*yawn*
Those qualify as darn good reasons in my book. My oldest asked for a cell phone in the 4th grade. When I asked him why, he said he wanted to be able to call his friends at school. I thought he meant his friends from school, but he really meant calling them while at school. When they get older and are here there or yonder, they'll probably have one too. It just kills me when you see a classroom of first graders and half of them have cell phones.
