I had them put in an Elite Diesel kit and it is a nice kit. It replaces the EGR cooler and up pipe and a block off plate.
I have heard the First Coast Diesel kits are top notch. They replace the whole intake.
You might be limited do to the van factor.
Andy, did your check engine light come in, and I don't recall the EGR Delete signed waiver requirement.
Last I was at their site was last year when I did my transmission.
No deer yet, but you can never tell. Maybe I'll sit a while tomorrow for sunset.
My starter is acting slow. I replaced it about two weeks ago and it's been slow ever since. Going to take some more voltage readings. The cables are like new. The batteries are like new about 18-24 months old. Alternater seems to be working fine too.
Howdy Dave...FTE has been pi$$ing me off tonight...I've been tossed off twice!!!
Aaron...better get the cruise taken care of...I had a customer ignore recall notices for his Navigator...fire took out the wiring harness and other stuff...bill was over 3 gee whizzers...Ford told him to go pound sand!!! He put a stop payment on the check to us to pay for the work...we sued...won a judgement for triple damages!!! SOOOOOOOOOO...the repair that Ford offered to make for him for free...wound up costing him over 9 gee whizzers!!! Fortunately he picked up...and paid for...his new to him Volvo before all this happened. A handsome commission for me...if I remember correctly!!!
Brian, I'm sitting here at 'work' pondering a suspected exhaust leak and wondering if its the EGR and with that the course of action.
I think I'll just have it repaired under warranty and not go with the EGR Delete.
I wonder though how much effort goes into doing an EGR repair, I suspect its easier on a van as the back of the engine is more accessible?
ohh. yeah, I imagine it would be easier as the EGR is accessible by just removing the cover in the cab. the question is, if you go the EGR delete route, would it void your warranty?
Oh I believe most definitely would void the warranty as the engine would no longer be EPA compliant and I believe the warranties are based on sustaining EPA compliance more than engine durability.

I wouldn't blame the dealership.
ohhh, I would just replace the EGR then, unless you dont have much left on the warranty period.
