Big Thanks to Rob(rtazz17) for his instructions on how to/he changed his in the pan oring on the dipstick flange.
Changed mine out this morning and all went well.Used a 45 cal. rifle cleaning brush to hold the flange while changing the oring. My oring was hard and flat so that is why it was leaking.Went ahead and changed the nut,and dipstick oring. Here are the part numbers.
inner oring...f4tz-6753-a
dip stick oring...3c3z-6753-aa
flange nut...f4tz-6751-a
YES....I have a sigh of relief now that it is back together
Glad it went will Barry. There is some pucker factor while doing this or it was for me when I did it. I used a round plastic brush to keep it from falling in the oil pan.
Pucker factor is high.It can be done and I had great directions, plus I did alot of thinking and planning.
I thought about it a little also my brush had a eye let on the other end and I had a piece of wire ran thought it and tied to the spring just in case I dropped it while working on it
Thanks Jim,it was a little nervy but as I said,I had great instuctions and everything went good.
I aslo solved an upper starter bolt issue.I have the two bolt starter and the top bolt has been getting loose on me no matter what I do.I found out that someone had put the wrong bolt in it.I installed the right bolt and it will tighten up good.I will check it often but I think I have that fixed too
