Transmission Help
Q: I have a 93 F-150 300 Straight Six Five Speed Manual. The other day a was driving and 3rd and 4th gear went out still had all my others. When I got home I put it in 4th gear now its locked into place I pulled the top cover off the transmission and what I found were two half circle forks which I'm guessing are my 1st 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th and rev go off of a little shifter bar. If any one can help me out and tell me what the deal is that would be great

What made you determine 3rd and 4th gear went out? The "half circle forks" you refer to are what physically shift the gears when you move the shifter lever.
Since you have the cover off can you get any pictures posted?

Well i dont know if i had said but 3rd and fourth gear went out then when i parked it, it got locked into 4th gear i took off the top of the transmission and 1 of the half circles is 1st and second the second one is the 3rd and 4th half circle and that one will not move an inch but the other gears will move in to gear
