i want one of the sct programmers with a custom tunes but not sure if all sct programers have it or if i need to go to a special place to get one. and also need to know if it is safe to run and not blow a head gasket or anything like that.

Give Eric a call at diesel innovations. I don't have his tunes right know but that is the concensus around here. He has really awesome tunes. And rather or not it is safe to run a tunner with stock head bolts is really a matter of opinion. Some say yes some say no. To me it just depends on what your driving habbits are. You can blow head bolts with out a tunes just as easy as you can with a tune.

All sct tuners can use custom tunes except the green econo tuner. You will need a ford specific one though

What about Matt at Spartan or is that a completely different animal. I want to do something with mine to give it just a little more go and minimize the EGR. TIA

Matt used to tune the SCT but now he has his own unit out but it is big $ 1100-1200
I also heard his support for the 6.0 with it is not good. It is mainly for the 6.4.
Eric's street or agr. street tune work great.
I have his extreme street and towing tunes and they are great.

Andy:
So, Eric's "street tunes" will give me a little extra go, help with towing a four (4) horse trailer and somewhat neutralize the EGR?
I am total stock. Just took the K&N off and went back the the Donaldson.

If you are towing a load you want a tow tune.
When you buy the unit it will come with 3 tunes.
I would also strongly suggest you get gauges.
