Broken Hose

93 ford 150 with the 6 cylinder engine. There is a broken white plastic hose above the glove box in the engine compartment. Looks like it goes to a vacumm switch onto of a black box near the fender and hood and then goes into a black plastic wire holder then into the firewall. What is this hose and pump for?

The hose you are refering to goes to that vacuum switch that allows outside air to come into your truck that works with your A/C an vents as they are all vacuum controlled.

Yes I would fix it cause you will have a vacuum leak until its fixed, I would jus find some small hose to patch it with.
